Cleaning products

All of these were used in the past and they still work today. They are especially good for households with young children.

Personal hygiene

Every day we disturb the body’s natural pH balance with aggressive products. Although some of them say that they have a neutral pH of 5.5, which our skin has, the truth is that only natural products are really beneficial to us.

We use chemicals in everyday life that are found in all kinds of products. They contain toxic ingredients, heavy metals, oil or aluminum derivatives. They  enter our body through our pores and mucous membranes to produce toxins that over time can lead to a number of diseases. In the short term, they can also lead to skin problems, allergies, cysts, etc.

Fortunately, we can offer some natural alternatives to chemicals in everyday life

Natural products

  • Shampoo: More and more shampoos contain more sophisticated textures and fragrances. But they give them these smells by adding chemical ingredients. This makes our hair look good, but because it is due to harmful substances, it will only have short-term benefits. We recommend using a shampoo made with natural ingredients such as saponin or coconut, or even learning to wash your hair without using shampoo.
  • Soap: Including detergents, soaps contain ingredients that can damage the skin, dry it out and make it look older faster. Instead, we can choose to use glycerin or coconut soaps, or make our own homemade soap.
  • Toothpaste: Today’s toothpastes change the natural pH value and bacterial content of the mouth. Therefore, we recommend brushing your teeth with a completely natural toothpaste, or one you have made at home.
  • Deodorant: Most deodorants contain aluminum. It is a heavy metal that is very harmful to our health, and it can cause us to get neurodegenerative diseases. It is especially dangerous for women, because the armpits are so close to the breasts, and it can cause cysts to develop with prolonged use. It is best to choose aluminum-free or homemade deodorants.
  • Moisturizer: Moisturizing and nourishing skin creams are actually made with paraffin and other oil derivatives, as well as harmful parabens. It is much better to use all-natural products such as coconut oil, argan oil, almond oil, sesame oil, shea butter, etc.

Feminine hygiene

Feminine hygiene products have seen advances in the development of tampons and sanitary napkins in recent generations. But they are actually full of toxic products that contain bleach or other harmful substances. Instead, we recommend more natural alternatives such as a menstrual cup or  bandage made of fabric or another organic material. Both of these are reusable, and although they require cleaning, they are healthier and more economical in the long run.

Cosmetics

Cosmetics are also often very toxic. The products contain very aggressive ingredients that give them their stamina and lasting effects. They may contain heavy metals and petroleum derivatives, among others.

Instead, you should shop for cosmetics at natural stores. For example, you can look for mascara that is made only with vegetable dyes. Lipsticks made from vegetable oils and natural dyes. Or eyeliner made with kohl or kahal, a type of dark ink from India that is also therapeutic because it helps remove impurities from around the eyes.

Some of these products can be much more expensive than the others. But we must put our health first, and they will be cheaper in the long run.
